Data: Subject Property & Competitive Data

Initial Market Configuration

To get started with ApartmentIQ's Market Survey feature, we will need a list of all subject properties, and a list of preferred competitive properties for each Market Survey - alternatively, we are able to pull a list of dynamic comps from our system for you. 

Action Needed

If you have yet to complete the following form, please do so and submit it to your Account Executive (Sales Representative). We encourage you to complete this form with your complete portfolio that is onboarding to ApartmentIQ:

Ongoing Competitive Property Management

Beyond initial implementation, Admin, Manager and Editor Users have the ability to edit comps at any time within your Market Surveys on an ongoing basis. Admin Users can edit comps for all Market Surveys within your portfolio. Manager and Editor Users have the ability to edit comps for their assigned Market Surveys.

Managing Users: Initial and Ongoing

User Options

Below you will find an outline of the four user roles available within ApartmentIQ'. To learn more about user roles, we encourage you to review this help center article. 


Initial User Access

The ApartmentIQ team is here to help ensure a smooth invite process for your users. During your initial meeting with your Customer Success Manager, they will provide you with the user template below. 

Action Needed

If you have yet to complete the following form, please do so and submit it to your Account Executive (Sales Representative):

Once complete, please provide your completed template to your Sales Representative or Customer Success Manager and our team will upload and invite users on your behalf prior to, or after training has concluded.


Ongoing User Access

Admin and Manager users within your organization will have the ability to add new users to ApartmentIQ’s Market Survey feature as needed. Please review this help center article to learn more. 

 
 

Payment: Billing & Invoicing

Please review our Billing FAQ’s for more information. Your Customer Success Manager will confirm billing preferences during your initial kickoff conversations. 

 
 


Technical Success Tips

Sign-In Options

ApartmentIQ supports two methods for user authentication:

  1. Single Sign-On (SSO) using your organization’s identity provider
     
  2. System-Level Sign-In using a username and password managed directly in ApartmentIQ

Whitelisting Email Domains

To ensure that emails from us are not blocked by your organization’s email filters, please request your IT department to whitelist our email domains. Please reference this document for more information. 

 
 


Operational Success & Continued Support

Customer Success Manager

As a new customer, you may have questions - and we have answers! Here’s an introduction to the teams you'll work with during your initial implementation and beyond.

Your Customer Success Manager (CSM) is here to assist you with strategy and adoption. Your CSM is here to help with:

  • Helping to gather initial collateral from your team, including your property list (subject properties to be built as Market Surveys), competitive properties for each portfolio property, and an initial user list with defined access. Please note that our Implementation Team cannot begin building your account without these items. 
  • Purchasing and configuring new markets as your business expands.
  • Organizing training for all users with our Training & Enablement Team.
  • Submitting product development requests.
  • Advising your team on ApartmentIQ best practices and ongoing strategy.
  • Regular touchpoints with account leaders.

Support

Our Support Team is responsible for initial account creation, quality assurance, general platform questions, and ongoing data integrity. Please reach out for the following tasks:

Training & Enablement

Our Training & Enablement Team is dedicated to helping you get the most out of ApartmentIQ. We'll show you how to use your data to make smarter business decisions.

To start, your Customer Success Manager will work with the Training Team to coordinate foundational training for everyone. We strongly recommend that all users complete this initial training to ensure a successful rollout.

For ongoing training and support, we offer several resources:

  • Live and On-Demand Webinar Sessions: Join our product experts for live sessions offered multiple times a week. Please review our offerings here.
  • Quarterly New Feature Updates: For our users who want to stay up-to-date with the latest enhancements, we host quarterly webinars that provide product updates. Developing Standard Operating Procedures

Establishing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) is essential for ensuring your team consistently gets the most out of ApartmentIQ's Market Survey feature. 

To start, you should set clear expectations for what metrics your team will focus on in their reporting. This may include key performance indicators like Advertised Occupancy rates, applications, leasing in the last 7 days, and rent growth, which can all be tracked within the platform. 

For best results, your team should access ApartmentIQ’s Market Survey feature frequently. We suggest that your teams access the platform weekly, if not daily, to monitor market changes and make timely pricing decisions. This helps them stay proactive rather than reactive.

Finally, consider other ways to maximize your team's efficiency:

  • Training: Use ApartmentIQ's training resources to onboard new hires. This ensures everyone is familiar with the platform and follows the same processes from day one.
