As you prepare for your Market Survey Certification, we’ve outlined everything you need to succeed. Please review the information below before getting started.

ApartmentIQ Market Survey Certification Test Prep

Before you take your Market Survey Certification, we recommend completing the Test Prep Challenge. This guide walks you through real-world tasks using the ApartmentIQ platform - from analyzing comps to customizing reports - giving you hands-on practice with the tools and data you'll use on the job. The prep activity is designed to build your confidence, reinforce key concepts, and help you feel ready for the types of scenarios you'll encounter on the certification test.

By completing the prep guide, you'll sharpen your skills and be better equipped to succeed on the exam.

Additionally, if you did not attend a foundational training during onboarding, we encourage you to attend one of our live webinar training sessions to prepare!

Email Access: Important Note

To make sure your certification stays with you, please use your unique company email address when taking the assessment. If you only have a shared "property" email, and not a unique company one, please use your personal email address instead. Please reach out to jaime.dorn@rentable.co with any questions.

Instructions: Day of Certification

Before the Test

• Prepare Your Environment: Ensure you are in a quiet, distraction-free area where you can focus. You can expect the exam to take approximately 30-60 minutes to complete. 
   
• Check Your Technology: Have a reliable internet connection and use a supported web browser. Disable pop-up blockers and avoid using incognito/private browsing modes.
   
• Login to ApartmentIQ: Login to ApartmentIQ on a separate tab or window - this is an open tool assessment so use your resources!
   
• Test Link: Use the test link provided by your certification coordinator. 
   
• Please note: You will have 1 attempt to pass the certification. 
   

During the Test

• Register using your unique company provided email. Please do not use a property email - please see notes above in “Email Access: Important Note.”
   
• Answer Submission: Each answer is saved as you submit it, not at the end. This helps prevent data loss.
   
• Navigation: Use only the “Next” and “Previous” buttons within the test - do not use the browser’s back button.
   
• Test Questions and Time Limits: You will have 60 minutes to complete your 30 question certification. 
   

If Something Goes Wrong

• Frozen Page: Refresh your browser to resume the certification.
   
• Disconnection: Reopen the same browser, go to your test link, and resume from where you left off.
   

After the Test

• Submission Confirmation: Upon submission, you may receive a confirmation screen or email. Keep a copy for your records.
  
   
• Certification: You will be able to download your certificate from the completion page should you pass. A copy will also be emailed to you.
  
   
• Share to Linkedin: We encourage you to share your new certification on Linkedin and tag ApartmentIQ!
