The Market Rent Feed automatically sends a market rent value for every unit from Daylight into your Property Management System (PMS), so each unit's market rent field stays current without manual updates.
This guide walks through each configurable option: turning the feed on, choosing which rent value is sent, selecting the trailing period the value is based on, and setting how often the feed syncs.
To access: Revenue Management (Daylight) > Settings (gear icon) > [Property] > Connection tab
Note
These settings are read-only for most users. If you'd like a setting changed, contact your Admin or your ApartmentIQ account team.
1. Turn the Market Rent Feed on or off
The toggle in the top-right of the Market Rent Feed panel controls whether Daylight sends market rent values to your PMS at all. When it's on (purple), the feed is active and the Type, Period, and Sync Frequency options below become available.
Go to: Settings for the property > Connection tab, showing the Market Rent Feed panel enabled.

2. Choose the market rent value (Type)
The Type dropdown determines which rent value gets sent to your PMS as each unit's market rent. There are three options:
- New Lease Recommended Rent: Uses the pricing determined by Daylight's New Lease algorithm, Daylight's own recommended rent for the unit.
- New Lease Approved Rents: Uses the last approved price action for each bed group.
- Average Leased Rents: Uses the average of the last 5 leases in the last 84 days for each bed group.

Type dropdown expanded, with New Lease Approved Rents selected in this example.
Good to know: Unit Type and Unit-level overrides do not impact the Market Rent value for any of the three Type options above.
3. Set the Period
The Period dropdown sets the look back window used to calculate the market rent value chosen in Step 2. It can be set to any of the following:
- Daily
- Trailing 7-Day
- Trailing 30-Day
- Trailing 60-Day
- Trailing 90-Day

Example: The Type and Period controls sit side by side in the Market Rent Feed panel. Period is collapsed and set to Daily here. Click the dropdown to choose a trailing window instead.
4. Set the Sync Frequency
Sync Frequency controls how often the market rent value refreshes and pushes to your PMS:
- On Price Approval
- Weekly
- Monthly

Example: Sync Frequency dropdown expanded, with On Price Approval selected in this example.
