Each member of your team plays a unique role in the success of your company. Because of this, each user leveraging ApartmentIQ's Market Survey feature is interested in different metrics or data points related to how your subject property is performing, and how your market is trending.
Here at ApartmentIQ, we make it easy for you to customize the metrics or data that you see within the Market Survey Report for your selected subject property, without the fear of adjusting data for other users on your team. Let’s walk through how we can accomplish this.

To Customize Metrics for a Market Survey Report:
- Login to ApartmentIQ.
- Select the subject property you would like to view.
- Navigate to the Market Survey Report along the top of your dashboard.
- Select Customize Metrics along the top of your screen.

- You will notice that there are many metrics selected by default. However, you can deselect any of these metrics should they not be relevant to your needs.
- We encourage you to customize your metrics within all areas of the Market Survey including those shown below.
- From here, select the metrics you want to see by default. We encourage you to pay special attention to the Property Summary and Customized Metrics sections.
- Once applied, you will see your selected metrics within the Market Survey Report.
For Admin users only:
Any Admin user in the account can select or deselect specific metrics and make those metrics the ‘Default Admin View’. This will default metrics to all properties in the entire account (all Market Surveys and all users).
Before making the “Default Admin View” we encourage admin users for the account to agree upon a predetermined list of configured metrics that would establish the default view for the entire account (all Market Surveys and all users).

If you select or deselect different metrics from the original “Default Admin View”, you will have the option to change the “Default Admin View”.
For Manager, Editor, or Read-Only users:
Once the admin setting is applied, you will see at the bottom of the customize metrics “This view has been set by Admin”.

You can still deselect or select metrics that you are interested in within your specific Market Survey Report.
At any point you can click “Reset to Default Admin View” to go back to the previously selected admin metrics.
Please note: The “Default Admin View” will only be set for specifically the properties in the Market Survey. The admins will need to reset the “Default Admin View” for the Research section.
